How to Have Gospel Conversations With Your Kids
Leader: Bryant Laird

Bryant serves as the Director of Student Ministry at the South Carolina Baptist Convention, bringing years of relationships and experience to his work with student ministry leaders across South Carolina. Before stepping into this role, Bryant served as Minister to Students at First Baptist Church in Yazoo City, MS, as the Family & Student Pastor at Trinity Baptist Church in Cayce, SC, and he's worked at the North American Mission Board where he was responsible for recruitment, hiring, and training summer staff for the ministries of World Changers and PowerPlant.

He met his wife, Olivia, while serving together on a World Changers’ missions project. They have been married for 17 years and are blessed with three wonderful children: Ryleigh Kate (13), Molly (11), and Christian (9).  Bryant goes to bed most nights asking, “Lord, am I doing this right?”

Helping Your Child Navigate Relationships
Breakout Description:
Relationships look a lot different then they used to just 10 years ago and children and teens have a lot to learn when it comes to navigating these different kinds of relationships. This class will discuss healthy verses unhealthy relationships, friendships, dating, bullying, and instilling confidence in your child so they lean how to navigate various kinds of relationships.

Porn, Sex, and Dating
Leader: Duck McAbee.
Follower of Jesus. Husband. Father. Student Minister.

Let’s cut through the noise—our teens are growing up in a world saturated with sex, porn, and distorted views of relationships. If parents don’t step up, the culture will gladly step in. This session dives headfirst into the tough realities teenagers face today, from
the pervasive grip of pornography to the lies about love and dating the world pushes on them. You’ll walk away armed with straight talk, biblical truth, and no-nonsense strategies to help your teen navigate these challenges and pursue God’s design for their relationships and purity. It’s time to have the conversations that matter most.
Drugs and Alcohol
Leader: Beth Stuart

It seems that alcohol and various drugs are much more common in the schools today. With kids experimenting with alcohol and drugs at an earlier age, you as a parent should be well informed and equipped with the latest information.
Kids: Anxiety and Depression
We are experiencing an epidemic in this country when it comes to kids and mental health. More and more kids and teenagers are experiencing anxiety and depression. Have you ever wondered why that is and what you can do to help your kids be equipped to be able to handle the throws of life? This breakout class will seek to equip parents with the information they need to better help their kids with anxiety and depression.
